We wanted you to know about a few personnel changes we?ve seen at Hargreaves Mandal Stewart ? changes that add strength and depth to our service offering and put us in a position to better serve our growing portfolio of clients. We also wanted to let you know about exciting developments in our growing research activity.

Jacquie Trombley
Media Specialist and Account Manager

We were pleased to have Jacquie Trombley join our firm in April, 2008. Jacquie is a seasoned media planner and buyer with 11 years of agency and Fortune 500 private-sector experience. She joins us after four years as Senior Manager Media, Brand Initiatives & Corporate Marketing with CIBC Head Office in Toronto. Prior to that, Jacquie worked at PHD Canada, an agency specializing in media planning and buying, where she managed $35 million in media spending on accounts including Honda Canada, Home Hardware, Cara, Winners/HomeSense, Hershey, Canada?s Wonderland, Crayola and Unilver.

Mark Campbell
Digital Media

We?re also pleased to announce that Mark Campbell of Digital Media has formed a strategic association with our firm, making his considerable expertise in digital media and website development available to our clients on an in-house basis. Mark was most recently employed by BBDO Canada where he led the development of online tools and multi-media materials for Chrysler Canada.

Véronique Mandal
Finally, it is with very mixed emotions that we announce that Veronique Mandal will resign as a partner of our firm in order to allow her to devote more time and energy to her responsibilities as Director of Journalism at St. Clair College, a position which she has held for the past several years. She will continue to work with us and our clients - both as a consultant and a strategically associated supplier to our firm - but in a more independent role under an arrangement much like Mark Campbell?s. We expect that Veronique?s ongoing relationships with our clients, and our firm?s delivery of comprehensive media relations and media training services, will remain largely unchanged.

Research division growing
In the first half of 2008, our research division made dramatic strides forward under Michele Stewart?s direction. We recently completed several significant qualitative and quantitative research projects for our clients. In the process, we assembled a large and growing online panel that enables us to quickly and economically survey the local/regional market on a variety of issues and topics.

Michele has also recently been appointed to the Board of Directors of the American Marketing Association (Detroit Chapter) ? the first Canadian to be so honoured. Her responsibilities on the Board will include forging stronger relationships between the Canadian and American marketing communities, as well as developing outreach programs targeting educational institutions (including the University of Windsor and St. Clair College), and non-profit organizations, Chambers of Commerce and business associations on both sides of the border.

We hope you share in our excitement as we expand our service offering and deepen our expertise in a number of key marketing disciplines. Our goal is to provide the area?s most comprehensive marketing services; the above listed changes are just some of the ways we?re growing to meet that goal.
