Clinical Nurse Educator,
As a clinical Nurse Educator (CNE) you combine clinical expertise and a passion for teaching. You teach in the classroom and the practice setting and are responsible for preparing and mentoring frontline staff. You play a pivotal role in strengthening the frontline workforce by seving as a teacher, a role model, a mentor and by providing the leadership needed to increase staff confidence and competence. You ar also responsible for designing, implementing, evaluating and revising continuing education programs and competencies.

Clearly the role of the CNE is vital to the continuing education, development and competency of the frontline staff. Therefore, we are committed to helping prepare you for the CNE role. In order to customize the CNE education, based on the Nursing Professional Development: Scope and Standards of Practice, we would like you to complete the following education needs assessment by November 10, 2015.

This survey will measure what you feel are your education needs for your CNE role. The results of the survey will be reported in teh aggregate and not by individuals. The survey should not take more than 15 minutes. Thank you for taking the time to complete this survey.
