Hello from the Fort Garry Community Centre! We are considering offering a fun and active Kids Club at the Hobson site (880 Oakenwald) during the school calendar year. Interested parents and caregivers are invited to participate in our short survey on after-school activity programming options for children ages 6 - 12 years.
This survey is intended to gauge interests and needs of community families before we commit to developing and operating this type of after-school programming. It will take approximately 10 minutes to complete the questionnaire. Your participation in this study is completely voluntary and your answers will be kept confidential. It is very important for us to learn your opinions so we know if a fun Kids Club would be a viable program for FGCC.
If you have questions at any time about the survey, please contact Candace Penner, FGCC Administrative Coordinator, at 204-505-3970 or by email at the email address specified below. Thank you very much for your time and support!
Please start with the survey now by clicking on the Continue button below. |

LOCATION: The Hobson site is situated in the heart of Fort Garry, at the corner of Oakenwald and Woodgrove, one block east of Pembina at McGillivray. Our facility is within walking distance from the following elementary schools: Oakenwald, Ecole Crane, Ralph Maybank, General Byng, Viscount Alexander. Transportation options may be available for participants.
If available, would you require transportation for your child/ren to attend our programming after school (an additional fee may apply)? |

FACILITIES: Our facility has a spacious hall for gym/physical activities and exercise classes, a kitchen and canteen, and as well as a comfortable meeting room with couches, tables and kids equipment, games and supplies to promote learning in fun and educational clubs. Our outdoor space is surrounded by sports fields and trees, and has large play structures, a skateboard park, and seasonally, a wading pool and ice rinks.
With our facilities in mind, what types of activities/clubs would your child/ren be interested in participating in (select all that apply)? |

FEES: If offered, costs associated with running an after-school program would likely be covered through a combination of government and private grants, donations, fundraising, volunteer contributions and parent fees. Without sufficient and sustainable funding, FGCC would be unable to offer this program to the community. Subsidies will not be available for the start of the program, but may become available once the program is established.
As a parent, how much would you be willing to pay for up to 2.5 hours of dedicated care, along with fun-filled and stimulating activities, for your child/ren on a weekday basis? |

If offered, would you be interested in having your child/ren attend a trial session this spring (tentatively May and June 2017)? |
