This survey asks you to rate the priorities of take-home powered hand orthosis. Obviously everyone wants this thing to be weightless, produce able-bodied levels of grasp force at super human speeds, etc..  Unfortunately there are design constrains that are not going to allow that to happen.  For example, we might be able to make it light but not powerful, or fast but difficult to don, etc.  Therefore, we are giving you a budget of 100 ‘points’ to distribute per condition/disease.  These points should be allocated based on your assessment of which features are more or less important for a given condition.   For example, device weight on the hand may be really important (and therefore get a relatively high number of points) for ALS, but weight on the hand may be minimally important for someone with elbow tendonitis (and therefore gets almost no points).   For this please focus on the majority of the population that you are likely to encounter and don’t get too caught up in the outliers that may present additional challenges.  This approach is admittedly a bit ‘squishy,’ but please do your best with it.  If there are particular conditions that you don’t work with on a regular basis, feel free to fill the N/A bar to 100.

Please note that you are NOT required to fill out both this survey and the excel version that Todd Farrell sent earlier. Fill out whichever one whose format you prefer. We will have this data available for discussion at next week's meeting.

Thank you very much for your time and help with this. Please start the survey now by clicking on the Continue button below. It will take around 45 minutes to an hour to complete.
