Introduction:
The Department of Computer Science, University of Botswana is taking this exercise to help it improve its existing programmes and in developing new ones. We humbly ask your organization to fill this questionnaire and encourage your IT officers to fill the individual questionnaire.
 
This questionnaire aims to identify skills, competencies and qualifications needed in the  local IT industry. Its focus is on the tasks performed at work and the preparedness of the workforce. The questionnaire will establish current IT skills available and hard to find skills in the country.  It is also intended to establish areas of high demand and future trends in the local IT industry.
Objectives of the survey:
  • Establish IT skills needed in the industry.
  • Establish IT skills gaps in the industry.
  • Establish IT skills that are likely to be in high demand
  • Establish IT skills gaps in our academic programmes.
