Hello:
As many of you know, we have been working on developing a new department name and tagline to accompany the work we are doing on education finance reform, PBAR and LCFF. In this survey, you will be asked to provide feedback on our draft tagline and elevator speech.

Why a new name? Our new name is intended to make our work on LCFF easily recognizable to the public, while also being memorable and catchy. Our new name will encompass four distinct bodies of work: the PBAR Tool (which will retain the name PBAR), and our three core areas of support for LCFF: Community Engagement, Planning and Accountability, and Budget Development. Your input is greatly appreciated as we develop our new brand. We will use your input to finalize our name and tagline.

As you take the survey, please also keep an eye both for how connected the materials are to the work we are doing in education finance, as well as to the connection with Pivot's current marketing in general, and with our work in Common Core specifically.

Thank you!

Megan and Kelly

An elevator speech is a brief set of descriptors about what we do and why it is important. The elevator speech below will likely be used in written documents to convey a sense of optimism about the potential that local decision-making can have on educational outcomes and how Pivot can help to leverage this opportunity.. Below, you will be asked to provide feedback on different elements of that elevator speech.

Elevator speech, part 2.
How will LCFF create change?

Districts that are flexible, nimble and responsive are better positioned to achieve
that change.
Local control funding allows school districts to put money where it matters most. This
means better learning for kids and more public support and funding for our schools.
