Exit Survey

Hello Neighbour
You are invited to participate in our survey. NeighboursWeb (NW) is a new startup set to launch in mid 2013; initially targeting Brisbane. It will encourage neighbours in local areas to share and trade their time (skills or simple chore completion) and things through the oldest trade system in the world - bartering (see our short video at http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YTdtPwEIsZw).

In this survey, you will be asked to complete a survey that asks questions about your perceptions of sharing and the need for it; it will also ask your opinion about your potential use of the NW system. It will take approximately ten minutes to complete the questionnaire. It is very important for us to learn your opinions about NW and for participating in these developmental stages, we are offering a years’ free NW membership upon its roll-out in your neighbourhood. You just need to email us to let us know you have completed the survey to claim your membership.

Your participation in this study is completely voluntary. There are no foreseeable risks associated with this project. However, if you feel uncomfortable answering any questions, you can withdraw from the survey at any point. Your survey responses will be strictly confidential and data from this research will be reported only in the aggregate. Your information will be coded and will remain confidential. If you have questions at any time about the survey or the procedures, you may contact Jodie Hampson at [email protected].

Thank you very much for your time and support. Please start with the survey now by clicking on the Continue button below.

We are planning on launching NeighboursWeb on a place by place basis. We will start with a 'swap and mix' party in each neighbourhood (where you can swap your things, hobbies and skills) to encourage NW members in each neighbourhood for trading. Do you have any other suggestions to encourage your neighbourhood to get involved in NW (if comfortable, please identify your suburb to assist NW planning)?
