Public Survey for the GOULBURN BROKEN FISHERY MANAGEMENT PLAN

The Goulburn Broken Fishery Management Plan is an important step towards the management of recreational fisheries in the region. This is your opportunity to contribute to its development.
This management plan will identify management directions for managing recreational fishing in the lakes, rivers and impoundments of the region covered by the Goulburn Broken Catchment Management Authority (see attached map). Popular recreational fisheries in region include the Goulburn and Broken Rivers, the Broken, Hollands and Ryans Creeks, Lake Eildon and Lake Nillahcootie, the Eildon Pondage and Waranga Basin.

The information collected in this survey will help Fisheries Victoria develop a fishery management plan that has a strong focus on addressing fishing-related issues of interest to recreational fishers and the local community.

Before continuing please view the map of the Goulburn and Broken Rivers area showing the area covered by the management plan.

Your input is appreciated and vital.

Surveys should be completed by 23 October 2009

If you have any further questions, please contact the Fisheries Victoria Fisheries Resource Planning Unit on 03 9658 4377 or by e-mail at [email protected].
