1. QualxServ Technical Training Institute (QTTI) is a provider of high-caliber technical training programs designed to provide post-secondary school students with content-rich, instructor-led technical training. Programs are available for students with a wide range of technical backgrounds, from those with no technical experience to current technology professionals who are seeking to expand their skill sets.
QTTI programs focus on microcomputer fundamentals, PC hardware service and support, satellite technology, consumer electronics, and professional skills (service delivery, customer service, resume writing and interviewing skills, etc.). Students will benefit not only from a comprehensive technical curriculum, but will also have the opportunity to shadow current QualxServ technicians engaged on actual service calls, gaining valuable hands-on experience. The following programs are offered:
PC Maintenance and Repair (A+ Certification)
3-week, instructor-led course of instruction that focuses on:
Desktop hardware elements, multimedia devices and storage, troubleshooting and maintenance fundamentals;
Windows Networking and Internetworking, Linux Operations, Mac Operations;
Service delivery, customer service, professional development (resume writing, interviewing);
prepares students to successfully pass the A+ Certification exams (included in the program).
Satellite TV Installation and Configuration
1-week, instructor-led course of instruction that focuses on:
Satellite theory/installation/configuration/maintenance, cabling, laptop interface, and safety procedures;
certificate granted.
Consumer Electronics
1-week, instructor-led course of instruction that focuses on:
HDTV Theory and Operations, Diagnostic Tools, Troubleshooting, Dis-assembly/Re-assembly, and safety procedures;
certificate granted.
