* Hello! My name is Thu Nga Dan, a graduate student from the Annenberg School for Communication at the University of Southern California. You are invited to participate in our study examining the factors that contribute to the participation in the arts.

In this study, approximately 1000 people will be asked to complete a survey that asks questions about their relationship with specific forms of arts, their participation through media and the barriers that they may encounter while deciding to participate in arts activities. It will take approximately 10 minutes to complete the questionnaire.

Your participation in this study is completely voluntary. There are no foreseeable risks associated with this project. However, if you feel uncomfortable answering any questions, you can withdraw from the study at any point.

It is very important for us to learn your opinions. Your survey responses will be stricly confidential and data from this research will be reported only in the aggregate. Your information will be coded and remain accessible only to me, and to my faculty advisor, William E. Loges.
