You are invited to participate in a survey of tourist preferences for landscape exploration and ecotourism. Specifically, we will ask you about daily activities in the Abruzzo region of Italy. We'd like you to imagine that you are considering a vacation in Italy. We'll show you different Abruzzo tour packages that you may purchase as extensions to your Italy vacation. Some of the packages you will see are not currently available on the market, but we'd like you to imagine that they are available today. It is important that you answer in the way you would if you were actually buying the vacation package. If you wouldn't purchase any of the packages we'll show you, you can choose the "None" option, indicating that you would either buy a different Abruzzo vacation package, or not visit Abruzzo.

Approximately 1000 people from Germany, the United Kingdom, and the United States will be asked to choose among the various ecotourism vacation packages decribed in the survey. It will take approximately 15 minutes to complete the questionnaire.


Your participation in this study is completely voluntary. There are no foreseeable risks associated with this project. However, if you feel uncomfortable answering any questions, you can withdraw from the survey at any point. It is very important for us to learn your opinions.


Your survey responses will be strictly confidential and data from this research will be reported only in the aggregate. Your information will be coded and will remain confidential. If you have questions at any time about the survey or the procedures, you may contact the principal investigator at the email address specified below.
