My name is James Lapwood, I am a 3rd Year Product Design student at the University of Sussex.
I am currently working on a project in which I am designing a recycling system for the streets of Cities and large Towns, with a focus on the disposal and recycling of promotional flyers.

James Lapwood Nearest Large Town / City where you receive flyers: How often do you receive flyers in the street? Roughly how often do you accept flyers when they are handed to you? Do you ever purposely walk out of your way to avoid flyer distributors? How often do you look at the flyers that you have received? Do you ever dispose of the flyers before you have even looked at them? Where do you dispose of the flyers that you no longer want? How often do you keep flyers and take them home with you? If you do, what is the reason for keeping flyers? How successful do you believe flyer distribution is in promoting events / venues? Would you say that there is a flyer disposal problem in your local area? Would you say that there is a general waste disposal / recycling problem in the UK? Would you say that there is a general waste disposal / recycling problem in your local area's Towns and Cities? Would you be interested in the addition of improved waste bins in the streets, which begin the recycling process before the waste has even been taken away? Would you use a bin-like flyer disposal unit, used only for the disposal of flyers, so as not to overfill the streets and bins with flyers? Would you use a compartmentalised recycle bin, in order to split up waste for further recycling? |
