Grades K-12 Personnel

Teachers in a Multicultural Education

Hello:

Please complete this survey by Friday, 9/22/2006.

This is a survey to assess the role and impact public school personnel (administrators, teachers and coaches; library, administrative and specialty staff) have in the lives of the students they work with. It will take 3-7 minutes to complete this survey. Please take this survey if you work at, or have worked at, a public school. We are particularly interested in hearing from teachers in the King County area.

This survey includes questions about your ethnic background and that of the students you work with. This survey also includes five open-ended questions so we can hear your thoughts, which are very important to us.

Your participation in this study is completely voluntary. There are no foreseeable risks associated with this project. However, if you feel uncomfortable answering any questions, you can withdraw from the survey at any point.

Your survey responses will be strictly confidential and data from this research will be reported only in the aggregate. Your information will be coded and will remain confidential. If you have questions at any time about the survey or the procedures, you may contact us at [email protected].

The information collected from this survey will be used to inform an education public policy paper that participants of the Asian Pacific Islander Community Leadership Foundation’s (ACLF, see http://www.aclfnorthwest.org/index.html) 2006 Community Leaders Program participants are writing for the Minority Executive Director’s Coalition (MEDC, see http://www.medcofkc.org/).
