Dear Manager:



You are invited to participate in my survey pertaining to conflict management between western expatriate managers and native Chinese managers of multinational organizations operating in the peoples republic of China . In this survey, a number of expatriate managers, as well as Chinese managers, will be asked to complete a survey that asks questions about cross-cultural conflict management. It will take approximately 10 minutes to complete the questionnaire.


Your participation in this study is completely voluntary.There are no foreseeable risks associated with this project. However, if you feel uncomfortable answering any questions, you can withdraw from the survey at any point. Nonetheless, it is very important for me to learn your opinions so please answer the questions to the best of your knowledge from your own personal experiences.


Your survey responses will be stricly confidential and data from this research will be reported only in the aggregate. Your information will be coded and will remain confidential. On page 1, the questions (1-7) refer to your personal characteristics


On page 2, the questions (8-12) refer the general type and frequency of conflict you believe occurs within your organization


On page 3, the questions (13-18) refer to the styles in which you choose to handle conflict within your organization.


On page 4, the questions (19-27) refer to the various sources in which you believe conflict arises from within your organization.


Finally, on page 5 the questions (27-30) refer to which part of the organization you believe that conflict affects the most
