The results of this pilot project could be used to underpin a strategic approach to address the possible encroachment upon nursing positions in the perioperative environment byunregulated health care workers.
The project consists of a structured course which is conducted over 20 weeks.
The project commenced on 11 June 2003, and will conclude in October 2003. During this time an evaluation will be conducted. The project entails particpants undertaking face to face sessions, clinical experience, self directed workbook learning, and competency based assessments.
