Managerial challenges and implications of implementing Business Intelligence
the justification of IT systems investments is not entirely a manner of return over investment (Ward and Peppard, 2002); we need to understand the process of developing complete information systems, what information capabilities we are building, why we need those capabilities, how they will contribute to achieving business goals and objectives.(Steve and Nancy, 2007)
In this dissertation, we propose to address the issue of Business Intelligence implementation and to contribute towards a new approach to this issue. The new approach is organizational, in opposition to the technical, the strategic or the developing approaches, which have dominated IT so far. We establish the information systems discipline needs a new approach to complement the existing ones, which will give an overall encompassing view of the Business Intelligence implementation.
