Methamphetamines and Physician Assistants
Methamphetamine (meth) abuse is a growing problem across America with a large variety of consequences. The aim of this paper is to give background information about methamphetamines and to investigate the differences in knowledge about meth between Physician Assistant (PA) students and PA�s who are currently practicing in their profession. A survey and a quiz were created to assess PA�s experience with and knowledge of meth. The assessment tools are also designed to measure interest in the substance, to what degree students and practitioners see meth as a problem and to assess to source of their knowledge about this drug.
