Body Esteem of Women with Physical Disabilities
I want to study the perceptions of women with physical disabilities about their body esteem as it relates to their disability. Women with disabilities are often seen as asexual and unfeminine. The presence of a wheelchair or any other visible aspect of disability often will affect the way society views these women. Much of the literature also shows that a disability affects the way a woman sees herself. I hope that this study will allow further insight in to the ways a physical disability affects a woman's body esteem.
