Project Description

Investigating Unethical Consumer Attitudes and Behaviors

Project Abstract

The vast sum of money spent on store security and crime prevention, not only costs retailers, but also represents a hidden tax on those law-abiding citizens who bear higher retailer prices. The study seeks to better understand the attitudes and thought processes that lead to unethical consumer behavior. The study also addresses more recent unethical behaviors such as downloading of copyrighted music and movies using file sharing software and the internet.
