Since SavMore Supermarkets are a going concern in the retail industry and have an influx of customers daily, both regular shoppers and infrequent shoppers, the actual physical location of the stores provides us with a tremendous opportunity to observe shopper behavior and garner information from them while they are in the check-out process. Because of the available wealth of information at the physical locations, we designed a customer survey, to be given to the customer during check out time, with simple check the box answers, regarding current attitudes about private label brands. Included in the survey were standard questions regarding importance of speedy service, friendly employees, and availability of specialty, hard to find items. These questions are included for purposes of store management training and ordering, regardless of the responses received regarding private label brands. Therefore, this survey serves a dual usefulness for D&D Corporation.
