On election Night, CNN released its new Princess Leia Election Hologram-terview 2008 on an unsuspecting public. What did you think of the brave new gimick?

Loved it. Even the dullest interviewees are riveting when they're flickering blue around the edges. David Gergen always should appear as a hologram.

Hated it. Shades of Cokie Roberts in front of a green screen in New York, pretending to be standing outside the Capitol.

Brooke Smith, aka Erica Hahn on "Grey’s Anatomy," has been tossed off the show after last night’s episode. She says she thinks the decision was made "from above" within the Disney-owned network and may be because of the lesbian story line. Show creator Shonda Rhimes says that's hooey, that and it was because there was no chemstry between Erica and Callie (Sara Ramirez). Whom do you believe?

Rhimes. Smith may be the next Wendy Hiller, but if viewers insist their made-for-TV lesbian thespians be super-hot, what's a producer to do?

Smith. If she has no chemistry with Ramirez, just wait three weeks until they break up and start shagging someone else -– it's "Grey's Anatomy," for goodness's sake!
