Because you are alive and sentient, you are familiar with every element of the case involving the Harvard scholar and the cop. For those just coming out of comas: After Arrest, Cambridge Reflects on Racial Rift (Post, July 26)

Obviously this is a complicated case, but if you had to assign one party more than 50 percent blame, which would it be:

The cop is more blameworthy; you don't arrest someone just for being belligerent and insulting, especially if he has some cause.

The scholar is more blameworthy; he acted like a jackass, and the cop was simply doing his job.

In general, do you think this incident was about race?

Yes, to a large extent.
