Question: Our church has a Wednesday night dinner, which has an average attendance of about 200 people weekly. We also have a Worship Service immediately following the dinner, but only about 20 people are staying for the Worship Service. From the three choices below, what would be the best thing to do:

Nothing. Just let it go on as it is and know that the Worship Service will probably continue to shrink down smaller, as it has been in decline for several months. This is very discouraging to those trying to do the Worship Service but we simply cannot get people to stay after they eat.

Discontinue the Worship Service but keep the Wednesday night dinner with the average of 200 people each week. Build up the fellowship on Wednesday nights and encourage our leaders to model getting to know people that we don't know very well by sitting with them and having dinner or dessert.

Discontinue to Wednesday night dinner, which is difficult to get volunteers to help with cleanup, and keep the Worship Service, seeking to grow it stronger. If people want to just come and eat but do nothing else spiritual, then the church does not need to keep supplying them with an inexpensive place to have a meal.
