Here is a link to a piece that ran in the University of Colorado online newspaper last month.

A huge furor erupted. The writer, a UC student, was denounced by the student government and chastised by the school. The school publicly apologized for the piece. The editors of the newspaper apologized, too, suspended the writer from the publication*, and were compelled to attend meetings and lectures about cultural sensitivity.

*Note: At the time the poll was written, it was reported the student had been suspended. Not so. Hence, the above correction.

What do you think of the punishment?
