Society of Ethnobiology (SoE) Membership Survey

The world of ethnobiology has grown and changed considerably since the Society of Ethnobiology was founded over three decades ago. Since that time, the field has diversified and as a result, several "sister" ethnobiological organizations and journals have emerged.

This survey was made in collaboration with the International Society of Ethnobiology (ISE) and the Society of Economic Botany (SEB), both of whom are administering similar surveys to their members. The goal of the surveys is to gather information on our respective memberships in order to better serve our members, to make links between ethnobiological organizations where appropriate, and to avoid duplication of effort between the organizations. If you are a member of more than one of these societies, please fill in the survey each time you receive it from your perspective as a member of each organization. The surveys from each of these societies are being sent out at different times throughout 2008.

The survey should take about 10 minutes to complete. There is space at the end of the questionnaire for you to provide additional comments to any of the questions. Thank you very much for your thoughtful participation in this survey!
