Status of Ergonomics Education in Malaysia

Undeniable, ergonomics is an important factor in product design but how far ergonomic education in Malaysia still remains unknown. As part of an effort to better improve ergonomic education in Malaysia, we, Assoc Prof. Dr. Hj. Khairul Aidil Azlin Abd. Rahman, Deputy Dean (Postgraduate and Research) [email protected] from Faculty of Applied and Creative Arts, Tan Ping Ping [email protected], Nuha Loling [email protected] and Azlina Julaihi from the Faculty of Computer Science and Information Technology, Universiti Malaysia Sarawak would like to conduct a survey as referenced on the above matter. The survey will be conducted from June until September, 2008.

We would be extremely grateful if the designers and engineers from your Research and Development team would kindly participate in our survey.

The information gathered through this survey will be used as our paper submission for the 5th International Cyberspace Conference on Ergonomics (CybErg’08). We hope that through this survey, we are able to make aware of the current status of Ergonomic Education in Malaysia and how we can further improve this education to accommodate for the industry needs.
