A multi-layered approach is implemented to make sure that users do not take the survey multiple times.

Using the Address Book

If you use the Address Book to upload email addresses and send them, there are two things you need to do so that we can guarantee that users can take the survey only once:-

1. Send the Respondent Tracking URL to your users in the email. Please see to the Address Book and Respondent Tracking help item (referenced below) for information on how to send the Respondent Tracking URL.
2. Enable Anti-Ballot Box Stuffing under :
   • Login »  My Surveys »  (Select Survey) »  Survey Control »  Security

Not Using the Address Book

In the case you send out the survey yourself, using an external email program, you can still prevent users from taking the survey more than once. This however is not 100% guaranteed. This uses "Cookies" to make sure that respondents who have taken the survey once are stopped from taking the survey again.
