2023 Annual Conference Scholarship Application

For the last several years, ARHE has worked to make the annual conference more accessible. This has included offering a limited number of scholarships or discounts in order to attend the conference.

For the first time since 2018, we are hosting a conference in a state that is included on the "States Subject to AB 1887’s Travel Prohibition" in the State of California. This decision was not made lightly and was made only after several attempts to host the conference in either California or Colorado. In late July when it became apparent that it would be necessary to host the conference at The Ohio State University, ARHE Staff began working on plans to expand the scholarship offerings for the conference. We are currently working with a number of sponsors in order to broaden the scholarship fund in order to support the staff and students in California who will be unable to utilize California State funds to attend the conference.

Though we invite anyone with a need to apply for a scholarship, it is important to note that priority will be given to staff and students at state-funded California institutions. Our goal is to work to cover as much of their travel and registration as possible.

Applications for the conference scholarship are due by April 14, 2023. We will be reviewing them on a rolling basis, so you may receive a response prior to that deadline. Applications submitted after April 14th will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis and subject to remaining funds.

Questions can be addressed to Kristina Canfield at kristina.canfield@collegiaterecovery.org or to the conference committee at conference@collegiaterecovery.org.
