RESEARCH STUDY ON THE CONTINUANCE USE INTENTION OF MOBILE SHOPPING APPLICATIONS

You are invited to participate in this research project. The study investigates the continuance use intention of retail mobile shopping applications (m-shopping apps) (for example, Sixty60 Checkers app, Pick n Pay app or Takealot app). Excluding typical food delivery applications such as uber eats and Mr D app. Should you have any questions or concerns about the study, you can contact Mr Tatenda Chabata (the principal investigator) at 0769724500 or tatendachabata@gmail.com / 2018731329@ufs4life.ac.za. The findings of the study will be disseminated for a PhD in Business Management study and in academic journals.
 
To participate in the study, you must meet the following criteria:
  • You must be 18 years of age or older.
  • You must have purchased a product in the last six months using the mobile shopping app of a South African retailer. 
The main aspects relating to the study are the following:
  • The purpose of the study is to investigate the factors that lead to the continuance use intention of retail m-shopping apps.
  • This study has received approval from the General Human Research Ethics Committee of the University of the Free State Protocol Number: UFS-HSD2021/0877/21
  • Your participation only requires of you to complete the online questionnaire that follows if you consent to participate in the study. It will take not more than 20 minutes to complete the questionnaire.
  • The completion of the questionnaire poses no inconvenience or any risk to a participant.Participants can complete the online questionnaire at a time that does not lead to loss of work time.Participation in the study is voluntary and you are under no obligation to consent to participation. You are free to withdraw at any time and without giving a reason during the completion of the questionnaire by clicking the ‘Exit survey’ link on any page or by closing the browser window.
  • The questionnaire does not include any question that provides information that can be used to identify a respondent. Also, no personal information of respondents will be shared, as such information is not required for the purpose of the study.
  • The electronic captured data from the completed online questionnaires will be stored on a password protected computer. The findings of the study will only be used for the disclosed purposes that is the dissemination of the findings only for academic purposes.
