Cost-Cumulative Assessment for the Forest-Based Industries

Introduction

The European Commission has launched a study to assess the cumulative cost of compliance with legislation and policies for the forest-based industries.

A highly detailed overview of the costs is being performed on the European forest sector. However, we rely on your help to help us form a well-founded idea of the comparability of the European situation with that in key partner countries. Therefore the survey below is shared with representatives of the woodworking sector and of the pulp and paper sector in Brazil, China and the United States of America. The key purpose is to compare domestic legislation impacts on the forest-based industries, and also how possibly EU legislation might affect (boost/limit) your domestic forest-based industries.

Evidence about the costs of legislation will be used by the European Commission as an input in its overall assessment of existing legislation as well as possible future legislative proposals.

The study is conducted by a consortium led by Technopolis Group Belgium, in cooperation with research partners BOKU and European Forest Institute. If you wish to receive further information about the study, or if you have any questions about filling out the survey, then please do not hesitate to contact us on [email protected]

Thank you very much in advance for your participation and contribution! We will only publish summary information resulting from this survey in a non-attributable way.

Please start with the survey now by clicking on the Continue button below.
