Project Description

DETERMINING THE CORRELATION BETWEEN JOB SATISFACTION AND WORK PERFORMANCE

Project Abstract

The intent of this study was to examine what relationship job satisfaction has with job performance. The literature review was used to determine if a relationship assist between job satisfaction and job performance. The literature showed employees were highly committed to their organizations, and highly satisfied with their job and performance. Results also showed there was a direct moderate to high relationship between Job Satisfaction and Job Performance. Participants were contacted at the Southwest Operations Center (SWOC) located at Fort Riley, Kansas and asked to participate in the study by completing a survey. The survey instruments were developed by the author/researcher and Bowling Green University. The study sample size was determined by averaging the number of personnel employed during the time period Decemeber 20, 2004 to October 30, 2005. SWOC furnished the statistical data for the research. I provided 335 surveys to SWOC with the hope of getting at least 85 percent of the surveys completed and returned.
