Project Description

Using the financial data obtained from the Bureau of Transportation Statistics, safety data from the U.S. Department of Transportation and with the additional information from the trucking firm obtained through an online survey to find out the relationships between the well-being of the trucking companies in the United States and how they related to its accident rates. SPSS and an online survey package, such as QuestionPro.com, will be used to perform analysis on the data.

Project Abstract

The project investigates the relationships between the well-being of the trucking companies in the United States and their respective accident rates. The raw data is already collected by the Bureau of Transportation Statistics and the U.S. Department of Transportation. By knowing the factors that affect the accident rates for trucks will allow the government to implement certain laws and regulations to target the cause(s) for accidents more effectively.
