The decisions taken based on the data collected has a significant impact on the success of an organization. To make sure that you get the best of insights from research, it is essential to design a survey to ask the right questions. However, it doesn&#8217;t end there. You must phrase the questions correctly, place them in the correct order, and choose the right target audience.&nbsp;<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Until now, with QuestionPro surveys, you could randomly display blocks of questions with block randomizer. We recently launched a new feature called block flow, using which you can randomize the order of question blocks based on the logic.<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">What is the block flow?<\/span><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The block flow helps you decide the order of blocks to be presented to the respondents based on their answers to the earlier questions, geo-location, device type, etc. It reduces the chances of order-bias and helps you get valid data for your research.<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Use block flow to implement <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.questionpro.com\/blog\/concept-testing-for-research\/\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">monadic and sequential monadic testing<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, typically used in the new concept testing. One or more blocks of questions are randomly displayed to the participants. It gets even more difficult if multiple products are shown to them. Using block flow, you can present a single concept in isolation.<\/span><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Prevent confusion: Eliminate respondents&#8217; confusion by showing them only one concept to focus on and evaluate. It offers accurate and actionable information about the choices of your target audience. Once you collect all the responses on individual concepts, you can ask <a href=\"https:\/\/www.questionpro.com\/blog\/follow-up-questions\/\">follow-up questions<\/a> or compare the results of different designs.<\/span><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Prevent bias: If you present multiple concepts to the respondents, they are still shown in isolation. It means at a time, only one design or a potential solution is shown. As there is no presence of multiple concepts simultaneously, it prevents order bias.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Example of a block flow used in monadic testing<\/span><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Consider a broadcast network company that wants to research the kind of content preferred by their audience of different age groups and genders.<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Assume there are four concepts, and a respondent qualifies for two of them.
