{"id":119330,"date":"2021-06-14T01:32:49","date_gmt":"2021-06-14T08:32:49","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.questionpro.com\/blog\/?p=119330"},"modified":"2021-06-14T01:32:49","modified_gmt":"2021-06-14T08:32:49","slug":"your-best-customer","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.questionpro.com\/blog\/your-best-customer\/","title":{"rendered":"Your \u201cBest\u201d Customer!"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><b>Why Choose Favorites?<\/b><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Growing up in a family of six, I frequently heard the rhetorical question \u201cAm I your favorite child?\u201d\u00a0 As we all know, there probably isn\u2019t a good parent in the world who would actually answer that question even if they could.\u00a0 Business is <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">not<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> parenting (at least in most cases).\u00a0 Ask a teacher about their favorite student over the years, many will mention a few that stood out for different reasons.\u00a0 They\u2019ll probably also identify one or two that they remember for the wrong reasons.\u00a0 Most of us would already know if we were on the list of those remembered for the great things they did in school, for their mischievous ways or simply somewhere in between.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">I know from my time in working in stores that our customers stand out much in the same way.\u00a0 Decades after I served my last customer at the grocery supermarket where I had my first job, I still remember many.\u00a0 I remember some that were always friendly and even the one that nominated me for a local service award.\u00a0 I remember one that always had a great joke to tell. There were also those on the other extreme &#8211; like the one that would come in just moments before closing time to carefully review the entire ice cream selection, only to choose the same flavor every time.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>Do You Have A Favorite?<\/b><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Recently, I was asked the question by a client, \u201cAren\u2019t we your favorite client?\u201d\u00a0 Of course it was brought up jokingly in the midst of a long working session to finalize some specifications in getting our <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.questionpro.com\/cx\/\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">customer experience<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> programs up and running for one of their <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.questionpro.com\/blog\/customer-touchpoints\/\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">CX touchpoints<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">. Seems to be when most clients bring up that question.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Is it like children, where you should not have a favorite?\u00a0 No, I\u2019ll admit I have favorites.\u00a0 Not because they spend the most with us or they are always nice.\u00a0 Actually, I have favorites because of the ways they challenge us.\u00a0 Yes, the more difficult clients are my favorites.\u00a0 Because of them, we are able to find unique solutions, improve our product and server future clients even better.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>Favorites In Many Ways<\/b><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">As a customer experience researcher, another frequent \u201cfavorite\u201d question is asking about my favorite <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.questionpro.com\/blog\/customer-satisfaction-kpi\/\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">customer experience KPI or metric<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">?\u00a0 My instinct would be to say <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.questionpro.com\/nps-plus\/\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">NPS+<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> of course.\u00a0 With one additional \u2018click\u2019, we add <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.questionpro.com\/blog\/predict-customer-churn\/\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">churn risk<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> in addition to <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.questionpro.com\/blog\/nps-plus-customer-surveys\/\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">root cause analysis<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">.\u00a0 However, much like my clients, I have favorites for various reasons, it is part of building the <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.questionpro.com\/cx\/why\/cx-strategy.html\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Customer Experience Strategy<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">.\u00a0 Should a metric be used just because it is the popular one or because you can index it against others?\u00a0 Absolutely not, the idea behind <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.questionpro.com\/customer-satisfaction.html\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">measuring<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> CX and fielding that <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.questionpro.com\/customer-satisfaction.html\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">customer satisfaction survey<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> is to help the customer to choose their favorite.\u00a0 Which should be your brand right?\u00a0 At least if you do it correctly.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\"><strong>QuestionPro offers some of the most advanced customer experience tools available.<\/strong> Gain valuable insights into your customers\u2019 thoughts and feelings using\u00a0<\/span><a class=\"_e75a791d-denali-editor-page-rtfLink\" href=\"https:\/\/www.questionpro.com\/cx\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">QuestionPro CX software<\/span><\/a><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">\u00a0today.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><a class=\"square-cta secondary-lined-cta\" href=\"https:\/\/info.questionpro.com\/meetings\/kenneth-peterson\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><strong>Book Demo<\/strong><\/a><\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Why Choose Favorites?
