

{"id":16301,"date":"2015-12-02T07:51:04","date_gmt":"2015-12-02T15:51:04","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.questionpro.com\/?p=16301"},"modified":"2023-05-24T06:46:01","modified_gmt":"2023-05-24T06:46:01","slug":"deeper-in-app-insights","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.questionpro.com\/blog\/deeper-in-app-insights\/","title":{"rendered":"Deeper In-app Insights"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>As a follow up to\u00a0the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.questionpro.com\/2015\/11\/12\/a-7-step-framework-for-building-amazing-products-with-your-customers-webinar-recap\/\">recent webinar<\/a> we did, we had a lot of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.questionpro.com\/blog\/follow-up-questions\/\">follow-up questions<\/a> around understanding product usage at a deeper level. \u00a0The typical questions you can answer using a <a href=\"http:\/\/www.pendo.io\">product analytics platform<\/a> are the following:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>What percentage of our user base have been active in the past day, week, or month?<\/li>\n<li>What amount of sign-ups from 3 months ago are still active this month, and who are they?<\/li>\n<li>Who was online in the last few days?<\/li>\n<li>What are our most used features?<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>If you want help with <a href=\"https:\/\/www.questionpro.com\/blog\/product-feature-prioritization\/\">product feature prioritization<\/a>, we suggested using MaxDiff\u00a0 which helps with answering questions like: \u201cWhich product features have the highest relevance for purchase intention?\u201d or, \u201cWhich features have the highest brand or product fit?\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>But even with that,\u00a0<strong>what cannot be answered<\/strong> are:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>How can we improve a particular feature to help with increasing feature usage?<\/li>\n<li>What one modification we can do to improve your workflow\u00a0by 100%?<\/li>\n<li>Why are you not using feature X?<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 Adaptive Product Feedback<\/strong><\/p>\n<blockquote><p>This requires a deeper level of understanding your users and having a <em><strong>&#8220;Just in time&#8221;<\/strong><\/em> conversation.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>A conversation after they go down a certain path in your product or after they finish using a certain feature. \u00a0One of the most powerful ways to interact with a user is to use <em><strong>&#8220;adaptive product feedback&#8221;<\/strong><\/em>. \u00a0In the simplest form, it&#8217;s a survey tied to a product funnel where the options are crowdsourced from the users.<\/p>\n<p>This <strong>will replace<\/strong> simple in-app polling and traditional feature rating scales to define feature importance.\u00a0Respondents review &amp; rate others\u2019 product ideas for interactive, real-time results. A way to gathers and prioritize open-ended product feedback is easily done with this approach.
