This is essentially the case with email contacts which have been collected over a certain period of time and now you want to use them to send out survey invites.<\/p>\n<p>To make it exponentially easier for QuestionPro clients and users, we have updated our platform with the simplicity of Email List Filters using Variable Data Fields.<\/p>\n<p>Let\u2019s dive deeper into this!<\/p>\n<p><strong>So what are Email List Filters?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>QuestionPro Email List Filters allow you to categorize your email list on the basis of Custom Variable fields. You can set upto 255 unique categorization fields for every Email contact.<\/p>\n<p><strong>How to use Email List Filters?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>We will\u00a0get to it in a few simple steps:<\/p>\n<p><strong>Step 1. <\/strong>Once you have your survey email set, click on \u201csend\u201d tab on the top menu and select \u201cCreate New Email List\u201d.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-38147\" src=\"https:\/\/www.questionpro.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/02\/f1.jpg\" alt=\"image\" width=\"1137\" height=\"374\" \/><\/p>\n<p><strong>Step 2. <\/strong>In the new pop-up window enter the name for your new contact list and select \u201cSurvey Specific List\u201d for the second field.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-38153\" src=\"https:\/\/www.questionpro.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/02\/f2.jpg\" alt=\"image\" width=\"1288\" height=\"304\" \/><\/p>\n<p><strong>Step 3.<\/strong> The next screen will give you options to either manually enter the contact details or to import them in a compatible file type (CSV).<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-38159\" src=\"https:\/\/www.questionpro.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/02\/f3.jpg\" alt=\"image\" width=\"1103\" height=\"460\" \/><\/p>\n<p><strong>Step 4.<\/strong> For illustrative purpose we have used the Manual Entry here. As you can see, there is a 1 custom variable field by default. You can add or reduce the number of variable field tables upto 255! Here, Test 1, Test 2 and Test 3 are names of categories we have set. After the email contact and their respective variable fields are added, click on \u201cUpload\u201d.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-38165\" src=\"https:\/\/www.questionpro.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/02\/f4.jpg\" alt=\"image\" width=\"1016\" height=\"437\" \/><\/p>\n<p><strong>Step 5.<\/strong> In the \u201cList\u201d tab, click on Global Options and select \u201cEmail Filter\u201d.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-38171\" src=\"https:\/\/www.questionpro.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/02\/f5.jpg\" alt=\"image\" width=\"1135\" height=\"400\" \/><\/p>\n<p>In the pop-up screen, click on \u201cAdd Email Filter\u201d.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-38177\" src=\"https:\/\/www.questionpro.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/02\/f6.jpg\" alt=\"image\" width=\"1186\" height=\"467\" \/><\/p>\n<p><strong>Step 6. <\/strong>In the new window you can now enter the custom variables on the basis of which the fields will be filtered and selected. Then click on Save.
