This exposed stories of consumer complaints (mostly on Twitter) prompting some brands to stop advertising on the show, despite a whopping 15 million weekly listener base.<\/p>\n<p>Which begs the question &#8211; was this a small but very &#8220;vocal&#8221; consumer minority or does advertising associated with Rush Limbaugh hurt the advertiser&#8217;s brand?<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><em><strong>LEARN ABOUT:<\/strong> <a href=\"https:\/\/www.questionpro.com\/blog\/brand-health\/\">Brand health<\/a><\/em><\/p>\n<p>Because this has been an ongoing debate across the web, we set out to see\u00a0if we could shed some light on the subject.\u00a0<span style=\"line-height: 1.5;\">We polled 1,655 consumers and asked the following question:<\/span><\/p>\n<h2><strong><em><span style=\"line-height: 1.5;\">If a brand you trust advertised on The Rush Limbaugh Show, how would it affect your opinion of that brand?<\/span><\/em><\/strong><\/h2>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-7846\" src=\"https:\/\/www.questionpro.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/11\/rush__limbaugh_graph_only1.png\" alt=\"Rush Limbaugh Graph\" width=\"605\" height=\"185\" \/><\/p>\n<p>From the above graphic, we see the results:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>46% of the respondents said their opinion would be unchanged;<\/li>\n<li>31% said their opinion would be positively affected;<\/li>\n<li>12% said it would be negatively affected;<\/li>\n<li>and 9% don&#8217;t know who Rush Limbaugh is.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>If we then <em>remove those who have been living under a rock<\/em>, we see <strong>52% unchanged<\/strong>; <strong>35% positively affected<\/strong> and only <strong>14% negatively affected<\/strong>. Or said another way:<\/p>\n<p><em><strong>Out of the people surveyed who know who Rush Limbaugh is, 87% would either be unaffected or positively affected, by a brand they trust, advertising on The Rush Limbaugh Show.<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n<p>I honestly assumed this was going to go the other way; but that&#8217;s why we do the research!<\/p>\n<p><em>Now here&#8217;s where I open it up to any researchers who would like to comment<\/em>.
