

{"id":8217,"date":"2014-03-26T05:50:26","date_gmt":"2014-03-26T12:50:26","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.questionpro.com\/?p=8217"},"modified":"2014-03-26T05:50:26","modified_gmt":"2014-03-26T12:50:26","slug":"how-to-get-a-flood-of-new-customers-in-30-days","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.questionpro.com\/blog\/how-to-get-a-flood-of-new-customers-in-30-days\/","title":{"rendered":"How to Get a Flood of New Customers in 30 Days"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Before you read any further, let me just tell you that after you read this, you could literally get a customer in the next five minutes.\u00a0 But I\u2019m not going to promise that because each business is unique, and most people will just read this, agree or disagree and go on to the next fire they need to put out.\u00a0 I just wanted you to know that this is how powerful the concepts I\u2019m going to share with you are.<!--more-->\u00a0 So I want you to get ready \u2013 and decide to do something with what you\u2019ve learned.\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.questionpro.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/03\/hands-holding-money.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright size-medium wp-image-8218\" alt=\"hands holding money\" src=\"https:\/\/www.questionpro.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/03\/hands-holding-money-300x225.jpg\" width=\"300\" height=\"225\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<h2><b>How is getting a flood of new customers like losing a ton of weight?<\/b><\/h2>\n<p>Well, there are really only two ways to lose weight.\u00a0 Eat less and exercise more.\u00a0 And, there are two ways to get a flood of new customers; sell the right stuff, to the right customer.\u00a0 There you have it.\u00a0 And now you know why there are as many \u201cget more customers\u201d books and programs as there are diets.\u00a0 There are only two things to do and few people do them \u2013 well.<\/p>\n<h2><b>You can\u2019t sell anything to everybody<\/b><\/h2>\n<p>There is a physical law in marketing just like there is the physical law of gravity.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 The clearer you are on who your ideal customer is \u2013 and the more specific you are, the more of them will find you and buy from you (at any price).\u00a0 Look behind any business that is crazy swamped and making money, and you\u2019ll notice that they are very targeted (and persnickety)_ about who they sell to.\u00a0 The secret is to look beyond the obvious demographics of gender, location and income level and look closer at what is important to that group of customers.\u00a0 What motivates them to choose one business over another? This kind of observation requires patience, time and <i>listening for<\/i> what matters to customers and not talking and selling.<\/p>\n<h2><b>Identify your ideal customer and what matters to them<\/b><\/h2>\n<p>Create a document that outlines the following:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Company Name,<\/li>\n<li>Location,<\/li>\n<li>Revenues,<\/li>\n<li>What they buy from you,<\/li>\n<li>What triggered them to buy from you, etc. \u2013 think about an actual event \u201cdropped cell phone in toilet\u201d<\/li>\n<li>What\u2019s important to them when they are buying what you\u2019re selling?<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Now, highlight the customers you love that love you back \u2013 like if you had 100 more of these you would be happy.\u00a0 You\u2019ll see a pattern.<\/p>\n<h2><b>Give them an offer they can\u2019t resist<\/b><\/h2>\n<p>Now that you have the profile completed, start with a clean slate and BE that ideal customer.\u00a0 Create an offer they can\u2019t resist.\u00a0 Grab another document, create four columns; what\u2019s important, what we offer, what\u2019s in it for them, what if?\u00a0 That last column is ideal for those creative ideas that pop up after you\u2019ve gone through each column.\u00a0 That\u2019s the magic column that will get them to choose you every<\/p>\n<h2>Don&#8217;t forget that your survey is a key tool<\/h2>\n<p>One thing you may have thought as you were reading through this is how QuestionPro can really be a critical tool to helping you get a lot of this information &#8212; and that would be correct.<\/p>\n<p>Instead of flooding your contacts with long surveys, consider creating a survey sequence that asks 3-5 questions at a time and use the surveys as a way to get into conversation with your community. \u00a0Your survey tool is a
