"Smoke-free beaches" is a project that aims to preserve the right to air and beaches free of smoke and cigarette butts. It is promoted by the Barcelona City Council and the Barcelona Public Health Agency for health and environmental reasons. This summer it is being piloted in four beaches in Barcelona (San Miguel, Somorrostro, Nova Icària and Nova Mar Bella), where the consumption of tobacco and its derivatives is not allowed.
