Thank you for taking the time to complete this survey. Its purpose is to contribute to a book I am writing on the subject of forgiveness. I am looking for real-life examples of when forgiveness was possible and when it was most difficult and why. All of the responses from this survey and all inclusions in the book will be treated in the strictest confidence. My guarantee to you is that no names or situations will be shared that would reveal the identity of the persons involved.
The questionnaire is in two parts. The first explores situations where you feel you have needed to ask for forgiveness from someone else. The second section explores situations where you might have cause to forgive someone for a wrongdoing they have done towards you. I’m looking for a wide range of views on forgiveness and how it is experienced or not, as the case may be.
You may find that in answering the questions, it brings up some challenging emotions. If you find this, there are some contacts at the end of the questionnaire of people who can help you with this. I will include my details, since if you need a free confidential chat, I am here to help.
From the responses, there may be some examples that I would like to make into a confidential case study. If you would be willing to elaborate on your experiences, you are asked to leave your contact details for a follow up discussion. If you do not wish to do so, then there is absolutely no obligation to provide any personal details.
