07/22/2020 74727760 I've been laid off 2X and found another job to avoid a third layoff. The first time was because a pharma bought all the other pharmas in the state where I lived. They had no choice but to RIF because they had so much duplication from all the mergers. The second time was a role fit. The last time was a "working for the sales group, but with no personal revenue quota/goal" situation. I didn't want my boss to be in a position to lay me off, so I found another job.

They kept the one guy who was managing the document library and laid off the rest of us. Also, she didn't actively advocate for us, as she realized after the lay-off. She had hubris about the perception of our value. The second time, an entire product line was discontinued, and everyone in that department was laid off.
