ACEM ASM 2019 - Organising Committee EOI

The 36th Annual Scientific Meeting of the Australasian College for Emergency Medicine will held in Hobart, Tasmania, from Sunday 16 to Thursday 20 November 2019.

FACEMs and ACEM trainees of the ACEM Tasmania Faculty are welcomed to express an interest in being a part of the Organising Committee for this event.

The Organising Committee will consist of 13 members including the Convenor, at least one ACEM trainee and the ACEM Events Coordinator. A member of the Scientific Committee will be appointed to assist with certain aspects of the ASM organisation. The Organising Committee will be selected from those expressing an interest by the ACEM Tasmania Faculty Board.

The Organising Committee will commence meeting in late 2017 and continue through to the end of 2019, with the assistance of a Professional Conference Organiser and the ACEM Events Coordinator.

Organising Committee members are expected to be available for at least two thirds of Organising Committee meetings. Organising Committee meetings are likely to occur every 6-8 weeks in 2017-2018, monthly in 2019, and fortnightly to weekly in the final month leading up to the ASM. Subcommittees (selected from the main committee or with co-options where extra skills are required) may conduct additional meetings in between the main meetings. Meetings will primarily be for decision making with the expectation that allocated tasks will be completed in between meetings.
