Definitions A teleworker refers to a person in paid employment who carries out work away from the office at least 20% of their time. Based on a 5 day work week this would correspond to 1 day per 5 day work week. Individuals who work part time would fall under this classification if they regularly work out of the office at least 20% of their work period. Employees whose job requires them to work from a contractor’s site or who are regularly on the road in order to perform their job are excluded from this definition.
