International students are encouraged to apply to our degree programs. Undergraduate international students are not required to take the Test of English as a Foreign Language or provide proof of English proficiency with undergraduate applications. Admission of international undergraduate, including transfer students, is provisional until they have demonstrated English proficiency on arrival at KU. All students from abroad, including students from English-speaking countries, must visit KU's applied English Center for verification of English language skills.
Admission to our Graduate program requires a TOEFL score of at least 600 on the paper-based exam or 250 on the computer-based exam for regular admission.
