LATVIA’S SCIENTISTS AROUND THE WORLD:

opportunities to network and cooperate

Thank you for agreeing to participate in the first survey of Latvia’s scientists living abroad and scientists of Latvian descent! This study is supported by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Latvia and conducted by the University of Latvia’s Diaspora and Migration Study Centre*. Our goal is to gather information about Latvian scholars around the world: where are they working, if and how they maintain professional ties to Latvia, would they be interested in cooperating with Latvia’s scientists and participating in the development of science in Latvia, and what would be the most effective ways of cooperation. The information will be used for scientific purposes as well as for developing policies aimed at utilizing the potential of cooperating with diaspora scientists.

Your answers are completely confidential and will only be used in a summarized manner.

This survey will be active from September 18 to October 30. It is available in Latvian and English. The survey should take about 20 minutes to complete. The questionnaire in Latvian is available here:https://www.questionpro.com/t/ANkqlZalsO

We ask that if you know of other scientists of Latvian descent or Latvian scientists living outside of Latvia, would you please inform them of the opportunity of participating in this study by sharing a link to this survey on Facebook, Twitter, draugiem.lv, etc.

The results of the survey will be published on: www.diaspora.lu.lv. If you have any questions regarding the survey, please write us at [email protected]
