The Alabama Public Library Service (APLS) is interested in supporting the training and skills-building needs of public librarians and directors across the state concerning current techniques and trends in marketing, outreach, and public engagement through a series of in-person workshops.
Libraries which effectively communicate their value to the community see a dramatic increase in library use and perceived value. In this workshop, participants will learn the strategies behind creating engaging messages and communicating to the public.
The Understanding Community Audiences and Developing and Delivering Effective Messages Workshop, developed by The EveryLibrary Institute, will be presented by John Chrastka and Patrick Sweeney
The maximum number of participants for each location is 80.
