Dear Sports City, You are hereby invited to participate in this year’s sport city survey, which centers on the potential of sports events as a means for local, regional or national governments to communicate with so-called hard-to-reach groups within your city. Hard-to-reach groups can be defined as segments of the population that are difficult to engage using traditional communication methods. These groups often include: ethnic minorities, low-income individuals, people with limited technological skills/access, people with mental disabilities or linguistic minorities. In BCW Sports we are very interested in knowing more about whether you think that the organisation of sports events could play a role in helping your city in better reaching these groups. Our interest in this follows a recent study by the Government & Public Sector Practice of our mother company WPP, which examines how governments had encountered significant challenges in communicating with certain segments of the population during the COVID-19 pandemic (see report). Your survey here comprises 10 short questions and will be open until the end of October. The findings of the survey will be presented in a report scheduled for publication in November 2023. Should you have any questions, please feel free to contact heloise.signe@bcw-global.com. Thank you for your valuable participation! BCW Sports |
