We are a group of final year students of Faculty of engineering, University of Peradeniya. And we are involved in a project under the heading of ‘Application of information technology in the construction industry of Sri Lanka’ under the supervision of Dr. P.B.G.Dissanayake.
As a part of the first stage of this project, we carried out a preliminary survey and identified the stages where the Information Technology has been used widely in the construction industry in Sri Lanka. For further analysis of the above selected stages, a detailed questionnaire has been prepared and would like to get the responses of the experts in the construction industry.
This detailed questionnaire will be helpful to analyze how IT could be used at different stages of a project and provide methods to improve the application of IT effectively.
