Northwich Town Centre is on the threshold of an exciting development capable of turning Northwich into a vibrant market town and visitor destination. Cheshire West and Chester Council (CW&C) are developing land known as Baron's Quay, situated alongside the River Weaver towards the rear of Marks & Spencer and McDonalds. They have appointed architects Broadway Malyan instructing them to plan a high quality comprehensive scheme to support the regeneration of the town centre.

Following the stage one consultation and feedback from the Northwich Guardian readers, the River Weaver Navigation Society (RWNS) have set up the Northwich Consultation Group, to assess public opinion on the architects proposals, their interpretation and to draw attention to the absence of sympathetic waterfront landscaping along the banks of the River Weaver.

The results of this survey, will be presented to Cheshire West and Chester and Broadway Maylan to either support their claim that this is what the people want or to avoid money being spent on what could be a missed opportunity.

This survey will take approximately 5 minutes to complete & responses will be strictly confidential and data from this research will be reported only in the aggregate. There are no foreseeable risks associated with this survey and you can withdraw at anytime.

If you have questions at any time about the survey or the procedures, you may contact John Tackley, River Weaver Navigation Society by email: [email protected]

This is an opportunity for Northwich to rival and even surpass that of other towns and cities who have embraced their waterfronts.

Your opinions are important to us, thank you for your time and support.
