This survey has been designed to explore the relationship between the residential architect and trends affecting the design and build industry.

The Custom Residential Architects Network (CRAN) was formed in 2005 as a subcommittee of AIA’s Residential Knowledge Community. For the past five plus years, CRAN has grown and developed programs and initiatives that create and disseminate specific knowledge relating to custom residential architecture to the AIA membership. CRAN has petitioned AIA to become an independent Knowledge Community. Whether you are an AIA member or not, you are welcome to join CRAN at their website.

CEDIA is an international trade association of companies that specialize in designing and installing electronic systems for the home. The association was founded in September 1989 and has more than 3,500 member companies worldwide. CEDIA members are established and insured businesses with bona fide qualifications and experience in this specialized field.
